-
A school district’s budget is a planning document that links financial decisions to educational policy. It contains the district's priorities and its strategies for achieving those priorities.
A district's budget describes the expected revenues and the plans for using them during a fiscal year that begins July 1 and ends June 30. A considerable portion of a school district’s budget is regulated by an extensive body of laws, court orders and government regulations.
