Dear Youth Influencer, The Representation Project and Jennifer Siebel Newsom are hosting our first annual Global Youth Summit, August 6th, in San Francisco. Themed “Disrupt the Narrative,” the Summit is a global convening of youth, ages 14-21, for deep conversations about limiting stereotypes, gender norms and their impact on their everyday lives. We are thrilled to invite you and a small group of your youth to take part in this event. We hope to have your youth contribute to these meaningful, topic-based conversations that will be discussed at the Summit. · Who: Conscious and engaged Young People between 14-24 years of age with an interest for and passion about gender equality and healthy masculinity. · Where: Automattic 132 Hawthorne St, San Francisco, CA 94107 · When: August 6, 2016 9-4pm · Cost: Free · What: GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT: a global convening of youth, ages 14-24, for a deep conversation about limiting stereotypes, gender norms and their impact on their everyday lives. Disrupt the Narrative will convene members of the most diverse and inclusive generation, amplify their voices, and empower them to advance the gender equity movement.
Centered around the work of The Representation Project and their films, Miss Representation and The Mask You Live In, we will be gathering for a summit about how these topics are showing up in the lives of young people all over the world.
