• Dear Students and Parents,

    If you did not register for the PSAT please disregard this message.  Even though school is not in session on Friday, October 13th, the PSAT will still be administered on Saturday, October 14th.  The registration deadline has passed and there will not be any late or additional sign ups.  Also, as indicated in previous emails, there will be no refunds if you are not able to take the test.

    The following information is important to review prior to the test:

    •    Your room assignments will be posted in the hallways near the Attendance and Counseling Offices on the morning of the test.  Please arrive early in order to check your room assignment.  Due to school being closed on Friday, this information could not be posted earlier.
    •    Please arrive no later than 7:45 am on Saturday, the test will begin promptly at 8 am and late arrivals will not be admitted.
    •    Be sure to get adequate sleep and eat a healthy breakfast prior to the test.
    •    The timing for the standard test administration, including the pre-administration, is 2 hours and 55 minutes.

    Students - please be sure to bring the following items with you to the test:
    o    Your ID (a Redwood ID, California Drivers License or passport)
    o    Two #2 pencils
    o     An approved calculator; the calculator section of the test can be solved without a calculator, however, students may find that a calculator can be helpful on some questions.  Calculators will not be provided and cannot be shared.  The list of approved calculators can be found on page 26 of the PSAT Student Guide which can be accessed by following the highlighted link above or the following web address:

    The following items are prohibited in the testing room:
    o    Watch alarms or any other device that makes noise.
    o    Electronic devices, including computers, tablets, smartwatches, cellphones, MP3 players or any device that can access the internet.  Proctors may collect or request that these devices are powered off. 
    o    Protractors, compasses or rulers.
    o    Dictionaries or other books.
    o    Pamphlets or papers of any kind.
    o    Highlighters, colored pens or pencils.
    o    Listening, recording, copying or photographic devices.
    o    Food or beverages, unless approved for medical reasons.
