Hi everyone. My name is Alex Chapman and I am the new Athletic Director and Street Law teacher here at Drake. I am excited to be at Drake and look forward to working with the community. 

The 2019-2020 school year will be my tenth year in education. Before coming to Drake, I taught at Davidson Middle School as a History and English teacher. Most recently, I served as Davidson's Instructional Coach. 

I love teaching, history, athletics, and working with students. Seeing progress and growth over time is rewarding and something I love about working in education. My background is in history. I graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A in History. I attended Dominican for my teaching credential and Masters. Most recently, I finished a 2nd Masters program in Administrative Leadership. 

In my free time I love playing basketball, reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling to see different baseball stadiums.
