    Canvas (Learning Management System)

    Canvas is where you can find everything for the course: daily agenda, assignments, videos, etc.

    Parent/Guardians may want to observe your child's work on Canvas. To do so, follow these procedures:

     

    Steps for your student:

    1. Log on to your Canvas account

    2. Click the "Pair with Observer" button

    3. Copy the six-digit pairing code and give it to your Parent/Guardian

     

    Steps for parent/guardian:

    1. Go to https://tamdistrict.instructure.com/login/canvas

    2. Create an account and enter the pairing code to access Canvas.

    3. Optional: you can download the free "Canvas Parent" smartphone app. Search for "tamdistrict" to locate the District's account.

    Please note that the pairing code expires after 7 days. If not used by then, your student will need to generate a new code for you.

     

    Individual Help

    SMART periods are ideal for getting additional help! Email me to set up an additional appointment for before school, lunch, or afterschool appointments.

     

    Absences or Extensions

    • Check the daily agenda on Canvas to see what you missed in class in the event of an absence. After checking the agenda, feel free to email me with additional questions or concerns.

    • If you need an extension on an assignment, you must email me before the due date.
